How do I sign up for orientation?

Orientation is a two-day program designed to help new students make a smooth transition to the College. All new students are expected to participate in both days of orientation before classes begin. Check-in for orientation occurs in the Cougar Mall between Maybank Hall and the Robert Scott Small building.

Students register for orientation by logging into their MyCharleston account with their permanent log in (which is comprised of letters), selecting the academic services tab and going to the orientation channel in the first column.  Students will need to complete the questions in the orientation registration booklet before they login to register for orientation.

To register for orientation, students must have paid their tuition deposit.

If you pay your tuition deposit after the registration form is available, please wait one week for your deposit to be processed before attempting to register.

When can I register for classes and what classes are available?

Registration Entry Times can be found at http://registrar.cofc.edu/calendars/entrytimes.php.

Early Registration for Fall 2013 begins on Monday, March 12th, 2013 for all currently enrolled students by assigned entry time on MyCharleston on the Academic Services Tab. Registration will open to all currently enrolled students on Thursday, April 11th, 2013.

Students who have not declared their major should call the Academic Advising Office at 843.953.5981 for an appointment.

Students who have declared their majors should contact their major advisors for an advising appointment.

Cross-Registration

CROSS-REGISTRATION is a specific registration agreement between the College of Charleston, The Citadel, Trident Technical College, Charleston Southern, and MUSC during the Fall and Spring terms only. All questions concerning UNDERGRADUATE CROSS-REGISTRATION should be directed to the Office of the Registrar or 843.953.5668. For questions concerning GRADUATE CROSS-REGISTRATION, contact the Graduate School or call 843.953.5614.
